A European leader born from a family workshop in Palencia
The history of OVLAC began in 1936, when Heliodoro Calvo opened a small agricultural machinery repair workshop in Fuentes de Nava (Palencia). His deep knowledge of the field and innovative spirit led him to manufacture his own implements, laying the foundations for what would eventually become one of the European leaders in soil tillage machinery.
In 1970, his son Heliodoro took over the management and led a stage of industrial growth and consolidation in the national market, building the brand's reputation on values such as robustness, simplicity, and efficiency.
In the late 1990s, the third generation of the Calvo family —César and Jorge— joined the company, driving the modernization of production processes, the development of new product ranges, and the expansion into international markets. Since early 2010, both have fully managed the company, consolidating its export vocation.
A leading industrial company in Castile and León
Today, OVLAC operates in a 31,000 m² industrial complex in Venta de Baños (Palencia), where over 80 professionals work. Its facilities integrate all phases of the production process:

- Manufacturing, machining, and welding
- Industrial painting and assembly
- Quality control and shipping logistics
- Specific warehouse for spare parts and after-sales service
Its catalog —reversible ploughs, cultivators, disc harrows, and specialized vineyard machinery— is internationally recognized for its reliability, durability, and quality of work. Approximately 60% of its equipment is sold outside of Spain, reaching more than 25 countries across Europe, America, Africa, and Oceania.
